Within Pontevedra’s UFO history, the Minguela case is therefore best understood as a landmark claim with weak physical evidence. It is valuable because it shows how a local UFO story can become attached to a person, a house and a coastline. The most careful conclusion is that Juan Minguela may have sincerely reported an unusual experience at Viladesuso, but the surviving evidence does not establish that something unknown landed there.
